Welcome to Oikos!
Oikos is a Greek word that means family. We are a non-denominational Christian church set just next to the heart of downtown Bellingham. Our aim is to be a people so captivated by the majesty of God and by His mercy toward us that our every thought, word and action is always and only for His praise and therefore a blessing to all those around us.
- We love the Bible, because it is God’s Word to us and for our benefit.
- We love the good news of Jesus Christ, because it means forgiveness, adoption and life for us and because it is powerful enough to bring anyone from the darkness of sin into His glorious light.
- We love the church, because in it we see the wisdom and mercy of God displayed in the collection of people that He has called to Himself.
- We love this place where He has placed us, because the beauty of this place testifies to the greatness of our God, but also because it is where our God has placed us in order to make Him known to all who are in it.
We gather every Sunday morning to worship God together and to be taught from His Word. We also gather together during the week in smaller groups to work out all that God has been teaching us, challenging each other to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.
